Her Body's Speech

"Her Body's Speech"
2007

Fleeting thoughts
Chasing a vapor's trace
The one he sought
Left a paper in her place
The ink was smooth
But slow to dry
The words they soothe
But still they cry
In his mind so still
Like echoed screams
In this room a chill
A slow-tempoed dream
The beats make colors
Like empassioned red
Painted by the lovers
On a poorly fashioned bed
Pillowcases torn
Below two curtains tattered
She feels reborn
As whispered words leave her flattered
One breath dances
Across the other's skin
Contemplating chances
Of letting the other in
To the hearts we daily guard
From the swords and spears of wrong
To relax becomes this hard
Only when your words and fears are strong
But these sheets of silk entomb
Those in their closest reach
She embraced him in her womb
Guiding him with her body's speech
But the talk is low
At a constant pace
There's so much to show
When looking at her face
Two bodies move as one
While the moon shines her approving light
For she isn't shy like the morning sun
She helps by removing all their fright
The sweat it drips on the sheets
Signs of effort in this dance
Still her body softly speaks
He listens close, leaves nothing to chance
With rapid thrusts and a gentle crash
Their movements never seem to cease
She's nodding yes and in a flash
His love screams with a release
Emotions quickly pour inside
As she wraps her arms around
Softly weeping tears of pride
They both claim it's the rain that's coming down,
Outside.
